How to do Meditation; and which direction would be beneficial

All humans essentially desire happiness. The root of the true happiness is existent in a state of consciousness of one in which the secrets of happier, healthier and well-being have opened to those ones who perceive things easily after meditation. Yoga is not merely exercise, but a way towards overall harmony of body, mind and spirit. The union with the self is yoga that rejuvenates aspirant’s entire system. When you meditate you are bringing harmony within yourself. You are influencing the subtle layers of creation along with the subtle bodies of all the different levels of existence in creation. During meditation the body draws more prana energy from the universe.

Breathe creates a flow of energy in the body. In the nostrils Ida (negative, cool), Pingla (positive, hot) and Sushumna (neutral) flow of energy is created, like the negative and positive currents in an electrical circuit. At this point Ida and Pingla cease altogether and the central point (Sushumna) blends both. Ida and Pingla Nadis are not the gross sympathetic chains, but being subtle Nadis that carry the Sushumna current. In the physical body these tentatively parallel to the right and left Sympathetic chains. Sushumna Nadi must be stimulated for spiritual practices. It aids in practice of concentration, refine perception manifesting and reducing the actions of the alternating breath. Breathing not only maintains the physical body and Chakras but also the evolution of consciousness, subconscious and unconsciousness. Nadis do not flow at random, but at specific times in synchronization with the solar and lunar rhythms. Neurologists have proved the sequences in brain hemisphere activity. One hemisphere remains active for 60-90 minutes. So brain hemispheres mechanism breathing through the right and left nostrils. The active Nadi flow for 90 minutes, Sushumna four minutes then third Nadi begins to flow 90 minutes.

Prana energy is the finest form of energy and without it life would be impossible. Rightly said that the more prana energy you have the healthier you are. All forms of energy are transporter signals in fact of cosmic energy known as Prana energy; and consistent flux of energy through which all the apparent, real, visual and subtle forms of energy get the life and that all depends on the surrounding area. Life energy flows from North to South whereas prana energy flows along and on. That’s why Sitting in meditation towards facing north or North-east  will provide good results. Ida and Pingla are playing important role when aspirant meditates facing north-east direction means that his/her Ida Nadi at that time will be facing west and Pingla south. North and north-east are enriched with water element, jaivik and prana energies embody of positive confluence. South and south-west zones are poor in the expression of earth element and water and others energies. Effects of cosmic breath manifests in north-east zone and the right expression of five elements you would find; and if your direction is right, then everything will be alright. While sitting in meditation towards north-east direction definitely will provide desired results; both Nadis will be synchronizing, balancing itself and will stimulate the Sushumna Nadi and increase the flows of prana.

North-east zones are considered to be zones under the power, manifests, control, and influence of moon and water; and from that one gets bliss, peace, content and ecstasy by synchronizing his/her energy centre with the natural’ influences such as cosmic energy/prana energy easily.
